CLASS OF 2025!!
Dear Families,
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our Wolves! We’re excited to share several highlights from a jam‑packed week of learning, celebration, and community connection.
i‑Ready Results Coming Home Next Week
Individual i‑Ready diagnostic reports will be sent home with students next week. These reports provide insight into each learner’s growth in reading and math. Please encourage students to share their results and celebrate their hard work!
Tuesday, May 13 – High School Connections: South Elgin & Bartlett High School Visits: High School students and administration met with our students during lunch to discuss ways to get involved in high school and shared information about summer camp opportunities.
Tuesday, May 14 – 8th‑Grade Fieldtrip to the Schaumburg Boomers Baseball Game & Assembly: Our 8th graders enjoyed a day at the ballpark. They returned to school and had an all 8th grade assembly. Students who earned honor roll first semester were recognized for their academic excellence. Sponsors and coaches presented students who demonstrated outstanding commitment to extracurriculars and athletics with certificates. Additionally, 8th grade students voted to highlight classmates’ unique talents and positive qualities. Lastly, every 8th grader received a commemorative shirt to mark their upcoming transition to high school. Thank you to our MTSS Universal committee for organizing a fun filled day for our Class of 2025!!
Wednesday, May 15 – Wolves of the Month: We honored students who exemplified our core values during the month of May. Congratulations to these Wolves for leading by example!
As we enter the final weeks of the school year, we ask for your partnership in reminding Eastview students to finish strong by consistently following all school expectations—arriving to class on time, keeping phones away, demonstrating respect for peers and staff, and upholding our code of conduct at every event. When students choose not to follow these rules, they may receive disciplinary consequences that include the loss of end-of-year privileges such as the 8th-grade dance, recognition ceremony, and Field Day. A brief conversation at home about the importance of positive choices will go a long way toward ensuring everyone can celebrate the close of the year together. Thank you for your continued support!
We look forward to finishing the school year strong together!

Sales are on a first come first serve basis. Yearbooks that were purchased in advance will be distributed May 22 in first period classes!
8th Grade Recognition!
We will be recognizing our 8th graders on Thursday, May 22 in the gymnasium at Bartlett High School. Doors open at 6pm and the ceremony starts at 6:30pm. The ceremony will be approximately one hour. No tickets are required for this event. Students should wear nice attire such as khakis or dress pants, button downs or polos, dresses, etc. Students do not wear cap and gowns as this is not a graduation. Students will walk across the stage to receive their certificate of completion.
No helium balloons are allowed inside the gymnasium.
Registration Information
We want to ensure all U-46 schools are ready to welcome all students on the first day of school, Aug. 11, 2025. In order to have the classrooms set to go, teachers hired, and transportation routes all set, U-46 will open up early registration on Feb. 1 to all families, not just ones with incoming kindergarten students. Details are available at u-46.org/registration. There will be no student registration fees collected at this time.

THE LAST DAY FOR THE ACTIVITY BUS IS MAY, 21!!! Students who are bus riders and stay after school for a club/activity/sport can take the activity bus home Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. The bus arrives to EVMS at 4:45pm and departs at 5pm. Here are the stops.
School Safety Measures
As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe learning environment, Eastview will be conducting random, non-invasive searches throughout the school year in accordance with board policy and law. These searches are a proactive step towards maintaining safety and fostering an environment where learning can thrive without disruptions. They will be carried out by trained school personnel, in a manner that respects the privacy of all students. We assure you that these measures are standard safety procedures and not in response to any specific incident or concern. If a student refuses to participate in the random search, the school administration will follow the necessary steps in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Should you have any questions, please contact the school's main office.
Cell Phone Policy
CELL PHONES SHOULD BE AWAY FOR THE DAY!
All middle schools in the district will be following the district guidelines of "AWAY FOR THE DAY" for cell phone usage. Students will not be allowed to use their cell phones during the school day, including during lunch, in the locker room or bathrooms. These district-wide middle school guidelines support classroom learning and improved culture and climate efforts for all middle school students in order to minimize distractions and help teachers create and manage a classroom and school environment conducive to learning, discussion and collaboration. It also helps protect students against bullying and/or inappropriate social media use during school hours, which are often exacerbated by cell phone access.
In accordance with our secondary cell phone guidelines, students are expected to put their silenced or powered-off cell phone in their locker upon arriving at school. Our intention is to help students create better habits when in learning environments. If students are unable to keep devices out of sight and in their lockers, teachers may provide a warning and remind/ask their students to put the phone away in their lockers or cell phone holders until the end of the period. If students do not comply and continue to engage in electronic device misuse, progressive discipline procedures will be followed. This may include, but is not limited to, the following consequences: having the student turn over his/her phone to the main office for parent pick up, or issuance of referrals resulting in detentions and other discipline-related interventions.
Parents - If you need to get a hold of your student during the day, please call the main office at 630-213-5550 and we will either relay your message or bring your student to the main office for you to speak to them directly.
School Attendance
You can check out attendance rates across the district by clicking here.
Student attendance is critical in learning. If students are not present, then they miss instruction. Strong attendance has a proven impact on school success. Chronic absence — missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions, can translate into third-graders unable to master reading, sixth-graders failing subjects and ninth-graders dropping out of high school.
Of course, we understand students become ill and may not be able to attend school. In those instances, parents must inform the school of their student's absence. You can call 630-213-5550 or email eastviewattendance@u-46.org
We expect students to be in attendance every day and ready to learn!
